Archive notice, added 14 October 2026: this guide covers 5–11 October 2026. It is retained for that week and does not describe the current week’s releases. Catalogue information below was checked for the original update on 10 October; present availability must be confirmed in the platform app.
Hindi & Telugu OTT releases this week include films, new scripted series and a returning Hindi reality show. This expanded guide covers 5–11 October 2026 and was checked on 10 October. It separates original-language productions, dubbed choices and a release whose Telugu audio still needs confirmation.
If you missed these titles in cinemas or want a new series, start with the comparison below. We have separated original productions from dubbed versions so that a Telugu audio option is not mistaken for an original Telugu film. The guide also includes cast, story, language and maturity information to help you choose.

Hindi OTT release: Reporting Live
Platform: Netflix | Release: 9 October | Genre: Crime thriller
Lead cast: Parineeti Chopra, Deven Bhojani and Amol Palekar. The wider cast includes Adil Hussain and Shekhar Suman. Netflix lists the India maturity rating as U/A 13+.
What is the story? A young reporter and her cameraman pursue a story that leads them into an illegal sand-mining network. The investigation puts them against a powerful syndicate. Instead of a police officer driving the plot, the central pair approach the danger through journalism.
Who might choose it? Viewers interested in whistleblower stories and investigative thrillers can start here. Its newsroom angle also distinguishes it from Eyes, which follows a police and mental-health team. This comparison is based on the premises, rather than a claim about either title’s quality.
Languages and subtitles: Hindi is the original audio. Netflix also lists Telugu, Tamil and English audio, plus English and Hindi subtitles. Telugu viewers therefore have another dubbed option in addition to the regional films below.
Original Telugu OTT release: Epic – First Semester
Platform: Netflix | Release: 9 October | Genre: Romantic drama
Lead cast: Anand Deverakonda, Vaishnavi Chaitanya and Sivaji. Aditya Hasan directs the film. Netflix displays the shorter title Epic and an India maturity rating of A.
What is the story? Aditya moves to London for higher studies, carrying his family’s expectations with him. Away from home, he faces loneliness and cultural differences. Meeting Kadali introduces a relationship into a life already shaped by uncertainty and personal ambition.
The setting makes this a different choice from the crime titles in the list. Its central concerns are student life abroad, emotional adjustment and romance. Viewers specifically seeking an original Telugu production can pick it without having to choose a dubbed version.
Languages and subtitles: Telugu is the original audio, while Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam are also listed. English subtitles are available. If you search for the full theatrical name and cannot find it, try Epic in the Netflix app.
Before a family watch: The A rating means this is not an all-age recommendation. Check the title’s content guidance rather than assuming that a college romance is suitable for children.
Hindi and Telugu dubbed pick: Mandaadi
Platform: Netflix | Release: 8 October | Genre: Sports, action and drama
Lead cast: Soori, Suhas and Mahima Nambiar. Mathimaran Pugazhendhi directs this Tamil film. Netflix lists the India maturity rating as U/A 16+.
What is the story? A fishing captain applies his knowledge of the sea to a traditional boat race. He guides a six-person team as it faces rival crews. The combination of teamwork, competition and a coastal setting gives the film a sporting focus.
Who might choose it? Consider Mandaadi if you prefer a competition-driven film to a relationship drama or crime investigation. Its setting also offers a change from the urban and overseas backdrops of the other films here.
Languages and subtitles: Tamil is the original audio. Netflix lists Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam versions, along with English subtitles. It belongs in this roundup because of those Hindi and Telugu options; it is not a Bollywood or original Telugu production.
Telugu-dubbed crime series: Eyes
Platform: SonyLIV | Release: 9 October | Format: Seven episodes
Cast and creators: Kani Kusruti, Nikhila Vimal, Shruti Ramachandran, Saniya Iyappan and Dev Mohan feature in this Malayalam series. Manu Ashokan directs it, with a screenplay by Bobby-Sanjay. SonyLIV lists an A rating and the genres thriller and crime.
Watch the official Eyes trailer on SonyLIV. Trailer availability depends on your region.
What is the story? Police work meets mental-health expertise as a team tries to understand and prevent crimes involving stalkers. The investigations explore obsession, control and the ways victims can be threatened. Kani Kusruti plays police officer Tina Sebastian.
How does it differ from Reporting Live? Both have crime at their centre, but Eyes is a series built around a specialist team. Reporting Live is a film with journalists as its central investigators. That format difference matters if you want to finish your watch in one sitting.
Languages: The release announcement includes Telugu, Tamil and Kannada alongside Malayalam. SonyLIV’s current page lists five languages. Select the Telugu version in the app and check subtitle options there. Because of the mature themes, read the content guidance before watching with children.
Hindi romantic thriller series: Ishqa Ishqa
Platform: Prime Video / Amazon MX Player catalogue | Release: 7 October | Format: Ten episodes
Cast: Helly Shah, Satyajeet Dubey and Anushka Kaushik. The official Prime Video page classifies the series as drama, suspense and romance, with a U/A 16+ series rating.
Kabir is a writer whose new relationship with Suhani becomes unsettled when Arohi, his childhood love and creative inspiration, returns. His unfinished book and unresolved relationships pull him in different directions. The premise combines a love triangle with suspense about what the returning former partner intends.
Choose it for: An episodic Hindi relationship drama with a thriller angle. It differs from Reporting Live because the tension centres on personal relationships rather than a public investigation. The official page lists ten episodes, so this is a longer commitment than a single film.
Access: The title page currently offers free viewing. Amazon is combining its MX Player and Prime Video catalogues, so the entry point can vary by device. Confirm the free, ad-supported option on your own account; do not assume every Prime Video title is free.
Original Telugu comedy series: Least Eligible Bachelor
Platform: Netflix | Release: 9 October | Format: Six episodes
Cast: Harsha Chemudu, Hyper Aadi, Jeevan Kumar and Aishwarya Holakkal. Netflix lists a U/A 13+ India rating and describes the programme as a comedy-drama.

Teja moves to Hyderabad as his father hopes a job will improve his marriage prospects. He then discovers that the woman proposed as his match is also his boss, Madhu. They request six months to make their decision, with an unusual living arrangement complicating work and family expectations.
Choose it for: Workplace situations, marriage pressures and a lighter relationship premise. It gives Telugu viewers a new scripted-series option alongside Epic, which is a film. Netflix lists all six episodes, with individual running times of approximately 26–36 minutes.
Languages: Telugu is the original audio. Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil audio are also listed, with English subtitles. This is another choice that serves both Hindi and Telugu audiences without treating a dub as the original production.
Hindi reality show: Pati Patni Aur Panga Season 2
Platform: JioHotstar and Colors TV | Scheduled premiere: 10 October, 9 pm IST
The returning relationship reality show follows celebrity couples through challenges about how well they know one another. Sonali Bendre and Munawar Faruqui host the new season. Release reporting announces weekend episodes on Saturday and Sunday.
Choose it for: A Hindi reality format rather than a fictional film or crime series. Because this guide was updated before the announced Saturday evening premiere, it is marked as scheduled. Check the JioHotstar app after the premiere for the episode and current streaming availability.
Additional reported film: Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar
Platform: Netflix | Reported OTT date: 9 October | Telugu audio: Not confirmed on the official listing checked
Parvathy Thiruvothu, Mathew Thomas and Vijayaraghavan star in this Malayalam crime thriller. Netflix gives it a U/A 16+ rating. The premise follows a woman joining the police after her husband’s death, then becoming caught in a cover-up following an accidental death.
Weekly release reports describe a Telugu-dubbed release, but the Netflix page checked for this update lists Malayalam original audio and English subtitles only. We therefore keep it outside the confirmed Hindi/Telugu table. Viewers comfortable with Malayalam and English subtitles can check the title; Telugu-only viewers should confirm an actual Telugu soundtrack in the app before choosing it.
Compare format and language before choosing
| Your priority | How to use this guide |
|---|---|
| One evening of viewing | Start with the film entries; check the runtime in the app before deciding. |
| A series across several sessions | Compare episode counts, then check whether the entire season or only some episodes are available. |
| Telugu dialogue | Look for Telugu audio in the actual playback menu. Telugu subtitles alone do not provide a Telugu dub. |
| Family viewing | Check both the maturity rating and content descriptors. Romance or comedy labels alone do not establish suitability. |
| Free access | Confirm the account’s current access option before selecting a title; a catalogue listing is not proof of free playback. |
These are selection checks, not reviews or quality ratings. The story summaries help compare premises; they should not be read as claims that NewsKafe has watched or endorsed each title.
A quick guide to choosing your weekend watch
- Original Hindi film: Reporting Live offers a journalism-led crime premise.
- Original Telugu romance: Epic follows students, relationships and life away from home.
- Action and competition in Telugu or Hindi: Mandaadi has both audio options listed.
- Hindi relationship suspense: Ishqa Ishqa runs across ten episodes.
- Telugu workplace comedy: Least Eligible Bachelor has six episodes and Hindi audio too.
- Hindi reality viewing: Pati Patni Aur Panga Season 2 is scheduled for Saturday evening.
- A longer investigative watch: Eyes runs across seven episodes.
Start with the format you have time for, then choose the story you want. A series asks for more viewing time than a single film. If language is your deciding factor, confirm audio first; a subtitle option is not the same as a dubbed soundtrack.
